There’s a saying that motherhood is made up of “long days and short years.” I don’t know about you, but my days often feel long, loud, and sticky. There are toys under my couch, laundry baskets that never seem to empty, and yes—crumbs in my coffee. (Don’t ask me how they got there. Kids are sneaky like that.)

Hi, I’m Ally, and welcome to Crumbs in My Coffee. This little corner of the internet is where I’m sharing the beautiful chaos of mom life—because if we don’t laugh, we’ll cry, right?

I started this blog because motherhood can feel isolating, even though we’re never technically alone. We’re surrounded by little voices asking for snacks every thirty minutes, but sometimes we just want to hear from another mom who gets it. Someone who knows what it’s like to hide in the bathroom for a moment of peace… only for little fingers to appear under the door two seconds later.

Here’s what you can expect around here:

  • Honest motherhood stories → The messy, the funny, and the moments that take your breath away.

  • Practical tips → From meal hacks to cleaning shortcuts (because who has time for the Pinterest-perfect version?).

  • Real product talk → The things that actually help, not the “you need this or you’ll fail as a mom” nonsense.

  • Encouragement → Because even when you feel like you’re barely holding it together, you’re doing amazing.

And yes, along the way, I’ll share some of the things that I use in my day-to-day to make my life as a mom easier. For example:

  • My lifesaving coffee maker https://amzn.to/46Mpfxo that I can switch between a classic or rich brew based on the amount of last nights sleep, because mornings don’t wait.

  • The comfiest and cutest pajamas and loungewear https://amzn.to/42N8uAE that makes me feel semi-put-together when I’m not. Literally wear these all the time and made me feel cute after the birth of my second baby.

  • A family calendar/planner https://amzn.to/46ldv5S that keeps the chaos of school, appointments, and playdates somewhat under control. I have been using this for the past 6 years!

These are the little tools that help me get through the day, and if they help you too, then that’s a win-win. If you ever decide to grab them for yourself, those links help support this blog—so thank you for keeping Crumbs in My Coffee alive.

Most of all, I hope this blog feels like a safe, judgment-free zone where you can laugh, cry, and nod your head along with me. Because the truth is: none of us have it all figured out. But at least we can share a cup of coffee (crumbs and all) together.

So here we go. Welcome to the mess, friend. I’m glad you’re here.
